Through the Soldanesti Canyon
We start from the town of Soldanesti, along one of the longest canyons in Moldova. The Soldanesti Canyon, carved into the rock massif by the Ciorna River, makes an unforgettable impression. The canyon is up to 160 meters deep. At the end of the 19th century, the railway of the “Balti – Rybnitsa – Slobodka (Ukraine)” section was laid on one of the terraces of the slope, and the longest railway tunnel in Moldova is right here too. Our path leads to the village of Ciorna, along the slopes, past grottoes and waterfalls.

Causeni, near and far
On February 20 we offer a short trip to the Causeni district. We will visit one of the most beautiful Orthodox monasteries in Moldova – the Martha and Mary Convent, and a very unusual church, the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God. We will learn lots of interesting things about the town. And we will stop by our very own Hollywood.

Tour + relaxation in Ceadir-Lunga
Ceadir-Lunga is the second-largest town in Gagauzia, founded in 1812. We have a short tour of the town ahead, with a visit to the St. Demetrius Monastery of Ceadir-Lunga and a look at “AT-PROLIN”, the only stud farm in Moldova, which breeds Orlov trotters.

High&Low Expeditions

Hai prin canion: drumeție de iarnă // Let’s go through the canyon: a winter hike
The Soldanesti Canyon (Ciorna Canyon) – one of the longest (16 km) and most picturesque canyons in Moldova. It was formed by the Ciorna River, which flows from west to east and empties into the Dniester 😉
A railway runs along the bottom of the gorge, and on its way it meets the longest railway tunnel in Moldova!
We will walk the whole canyon from the town of Soldanesti to the village of Ciorna, clamber up the slopes, and explore the waterfall and grottoes.
At the end of the route, warming mulled wine and songs with a guitar await us
